We are super excited to share this latest wedding, which has also been featured on The Wedding Co. If we had to use one word to describe Dana and Nick it would be ‘serene’. Everything about this couple is relaxed, composed, and tranquil, which makes their elegant vintage wedding all the more spectacular. As wedding photographers, we know that weddings can be stressful at times and after seeing all the whimsical details, the attention to the smallest little things, and the unique mixture of cultural traditions (Dana is Arabic and Nick is Northern Irish) we were amazed at how these two always managed to stay unruffled throughout the entire planning process. Dana’s secret? “I am marrying my best friend, everything else will fall into place…Oh and start planning early and get the little things done as soon as possible!”
Dana and Nick tied the knot on a beautiful summer afternoon at Bellvue Manor surrounded by family and friends from all over the world. The candlelit ceremony combined cultural traditions from both sides and reflected the couple’s sincerity and genuine love for one other.
The party afterwards was one for the books! The combination of old melodic Irish tunes and the fast-paced rhythms of modern and traditional Arabic songs had everyone on the dance floor. The flower girls and ring bearers were happy to join in the fun and a belly dancer inspired even the oldest of guests to get out of their seats and onto the dance floor. Surrounded by those closest to them, Nick and Dana danced the night away.

Summer is officially over (boo) but the memories of warm breezes, cool drinks, and balmy evenings still remain, especially if you are as big of a shutter bug as we are! In order to give summer the send-off that it properly deserves, we are posting a little cottage-dreaming throwback from a place far away from our Toronto hometown.
In a small country in the heart of Europe, exists an even smaller little village nestled in the midst of towering mountains. Here, many childhood summers were spent laughing, playing, eating, running, swimming and all the other lovely activities that make summers so special. Summer may be on its way out, but its captured memories remain…Happy Autumn everyone! Cheers, Hugh & Katarina
Ernest Hemingway once said, “I live in Cuba because I love Cuba” and it is not hard to see why. The beaches, the music, the food, the people – Cuba truly is a veritable mosaic of bright colours, melodic sounds and cultural richness. In particular Havana, with its rich history and charming architecture, the city has the ability to capture the hearts of even the surliest of tourists. And if the spirit of the city is not enough, then pop into a pub and have a mojito, a yummy concoction that’s guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face!
