Steph & Phil met on Halloween in 2007. Phil and His friends were hosting a costume party and Steph decided to strike up a conversation with Phil, who was dressed up as a half-naked smurf. They hit it off right away and boy are we sure glad they did!
Although we met Phil and Steph under less hilarious circumstances (Phil was fully dressed this time), they still had us at “hello!” We connected on our mutual experience living in South Korea and our love for Korean BBQ but more importantly we were instantly drawn to both Phil and Steph’s warmth, humour, and their evident love for each other. We were also thrilled to find out that they would be getting married at the Berkley Church, a venue that we absolutely adore for it’s vintage aesthetic and incredible light (completely swoon-worthy!)
To say that their wedding day was amazing is a complete understatement – the day was bright and warm and filled with so much laughter and love that we still grin when we think back on it. Their vows left everyone sniffling and once the dance floor opened-up every single chair remained empty while guests, both young and old-er shook what their momma gave them – so much dancing ensued that the DJ had to make an announcement about taking it easy on the church’s vintage floors – Now that is a party!
